Hey CHLers.

Its that time again.  Roll call and a reminder about posting actively - the email/PM reminders have gone out to all those who are affected.

We have a lot of members but a small percentage who actually post.  I'm having to weed through them now as I'm getting the heebie-jeebies wondering who is reading what I'm writing here (Thank YOU Jeannie for the timely reminder!)

We do this periodically.  So if you are a newbie, please post your intro and join in our community.  If you are a long-time member but not posting, still applies.  You are required to post in our forums - not lurk and read about what we are doing and saying.  Our purpose in CHL is to form a network of support for others in a similar situation.  If you've been busy lately, that's okay.  An absence of weeks is alright but not months.  We understand that not everyone can hang around and post every day like some of us do because we are compulsive and obsessed CHLers (Me! Me! Me!) LOL.

So, I have to say the dreaded word here - account deletion.  If you are serious about being a CHLer, be active.

Thank you all and have a nice day!!

Thanks Nish, I would also like to add, if your account gets deleted, do not take it personally. Here, we take our active member's privacy very seriously. We just like our members to feel comfortable despite the Internet's vices.

Good call Nish and Lyn!  :good: See, we don't have to worry because you ladies are doing a good job and being cognizant of the security situation at all times. Thank you for your diligence. I think we as users should use the site responsibly and be accountable on what we post too. Go Team Go Woohoo! :-D

Yes, I totally agree. It  is hard to scroll  thro all those names in the privtate PM and get to the right person. I always got a phobia that  I  might send to the wrong person.

Bringing this up, and to clarify things a bit more. This message was also sent to all members in a private message and email.
---------------------
Hi all,

It has been a long time since we posted about our sparse and very generous rules in the forum. I don't like too many rules about anything but since the last reminder was 3 years ago, I'd say it's about time ;D

To tighten things up and clarify...

1. If you log in regularly but have no new posts in 30 days, at least 1 post - c'mon people you can do 1 a month can you not? You will be suspended and not be allowed to view any forum. To un-suspend an account, PM me.

2. If you do not request restoration of a suspended account after 6 months, your account will be deleted.

3. If you have not logged in in over 6 months, we'll assume you're no longer interested and will delete your account. You are welcome to re-join at a more convenient date/time. Keep in mind that registration now requires approval so it *may* be harder to get back in.

Please bear in mind, these are not 'my rules'. Given the opportunity, I would much, much rather not have any such rules. But I like to listen to our active members who are concerned about what they share on the forum and who views them. I like this place to be truly a safe harbor for support and discussion. As such, these decisions are made in respect of our active members.

We'd love to hear from you and share in your life just as we've invited you into our lives. Look forward to talking to you on the forum!

Lynette Chandler

Hello everyone. It is about a month since I posted the last 'update' to policy changes. I think it is about time for me to start acting on it. I will be changing/editing permissions soon.

I've received messages to say that 1 post a month is way too much. All you need to do is fulfill that is to welcome a new member or introduce yourself to a member who joined after you have been inactive. So... if that is too much to ask then maybe the forum is not for you :-\

Sorry to sound bitchy, I just don't like playing games and certainly don't like dancing around issues that are important to those who actually participate and are like family members to me.

Ok - once again - no posts in 30 days - suspended, PM me for re-activation. After 3 times re-activation and same results, account will be deleted.

No posts in more than 6 months OR no re-activation request after 6 months, account will be deleted.
