If you have a problem on the site....gentle reminder

Okay, I don't want to sound mad because I'm not. I'm probably suffering from pregnancy mood swings, a few hours of sleep and 2 crying whining baby syndrome. But if you have a small problem on the site like don't see something after you posted it or not sure how to post something, why your pictures get rejected, please post your question to the forum help first. This way maybe someone else on the forum who had the same problem and solved it could help you out. I really need some help on this. If no one else has the answer then by all means contact me.

I'm not chastising anyone or aiming this at any particular person. Just trying to get the community to help each other out. Besides, it will help educate newer members later on when they have a similar problem. Thank you for your help:-D

hiya all,

i finally got around to uploading my pics from my digital camera, and i tried posting a couple last night. anyway i was unsuccessful in posting. i tried again just now, using the add photo link, chose the category, gave it a title , a lil' description and using the browse to pull in the local file, and clicked on the submit button, but it came back with a blank refreshed screen, and if i go back to the photos section, it was not uploaded at all!

help... is it operator error somewhere???

Sounds like the picture is too large either dimension wise or pixel size wise. Remember when you take a picture directly from a digital camera it's almost always too large to upload in here. :sorry: I don't have unlimited web space so I have to cap each photo size. The add photo page will tell you the picture can only be 640x640 in dimension and 150000 kbs in file size. Anything that exceeds both requirements will NOT be uploaded.

You need to resize it using a photo editor to change these dimensions and file sizes.

thanks, i will try cropping them and then post again. most likely this weekend i think. i just previewed most of my pictures, and it is hard to find nice ones of my children. they are adorable but when it comes to picture taking time, i either have a tongue sticking out, hands behind/in front of somebody's head or squint or a scowl, haiyahhhhh :rant:
